Eight years ago, I attended my first TRE® session as a participant. At the time, I was looking for a way to bring more ease into my life and reconnect with my body after a difficult period of PTSD.
I was living with intense anxiety, panic, OCD and trichotillomania, and I often felt completely disconnected from myself. I was also experiencing periods of feeling deeply overwhelmed and hopeless, and my body seemed to be stuck in a constant state of tension and freeze.
TRE® became an important part of my own journey.
By practising regularly, I gradually began to notice changes in the way I experienced stress and tension. Over time, I found myself sleeping better and experiencing fewer panic attacks and episodes of anxiety. I also became more aware of my body, my limits, and the things I needed in order to feel safe and grounded.
One of the most meaningful changes for me was learning about boundaries. I started to recognise when something wasn't right for me, listen to those signals, and respect my own needs instead of constantly pushing them aside.
My experience with TRE® didn't happen overnight, and I don't see it as a magic solution. For me, it became a practice that helped me develop a different relationship with my body and with difficult experiences.
Because TRE® has had such a meaningful place in my own life, I wanted to share the practice with others in a way that feels accessible, supportive, and grounded.
